About This Station
The station is powered by a Ambient weather station. The data is collected every 30 seconds and the site is updated every 15 minutes. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.
About Las Vegas
Las Vegas is the enterainment capital of the world, Some 40 million people visit each year. Lake Meade for boating and swimming is about 30 minutes away. MT Charleston is hiking in the spring and fall and skiing in the winter months. There are many differant casino to pick from for your gambling and dining pleasure.

This site is located about 10 mile Northwest of downtown Las Vegas in the Sun City Summerlin subdivision. We are about 1000 feet higher then the strip and close to Lake Mead Blvd. and I-215 highway.
Weather Station Console
Information is collected with a Ambient weather station at 30 seconds intervale to a Computer and is then up loaded to Internet web site every 15 seconds. The data is also uploaded to Weather Underground every 15 seconds.
Weather Station ISS
The ISS is the remote sensor station which collects temperature, humidity, rain, UV, Solar, wind speed and direction. This station is solar powered with battery backup.
Computer System
The computer is a Dell 8960 with Intel Core i913900K CPU @3.00 GHZ, 64 GB of ram with Windows 11 Pro 64 bit. It is backed up with the APC 1500 which gives about 1 hour of power to update the server, cable modem, GW2000 gateway and router. There is also a Labjack for temperture, and WH31L lightening detector. The computer is running Weather Display which collects all the information and then uploads to the host server. It also creates graphs and store all the records for the weather. Weather Display can create its own web page, and can be run as a stand alone program.
